Well I need to retake physics. My gpa went down alittle but I'm sure I can get it back up next semester.....

Soo there won't be any classes for a while. This is great so I can focus on Russian and Cisco. I'm starting to understand Russian alot better than last time. I guess it's good for me to take a break and start again. On another note for cisco, I'm getting alot of the material. I just need to learn how to subnet better and quicker. I still do subnetting sloppy and I just need to spend a few days on it.

I just got back from my physics final and I hope I passed with a 'c' range because if I do, I won't have to retake the class and it will transfer to Davenport. It took me four hours to complete the test. I had to use the bathroom for those four hours as well. I was sooo happy when I got to use the bathroom :) anyways I have to wait a few days to see the final grade. I was the second to the last person to finish and the last person, got to the class before me but did not finish. I wish she could have had finished the test before the school closed.

I got done with my html stuff yesterday so I don't have to worry about that. I got an 'a' for the class.

I just need to take the last test in the system analysis and design class. I'm going to study alot for that
because the last test was crazy. I hope I pass it.

I guess

I guess things are getting better with the CCENT. Although the practice tests that I take tell me differently. I'm still making progress and I'm starting to understand subnetting. I just need to be able to do it without paper and I should be okay. I really want to take this test but I still know that I'm not ready and I'm not going to rely on some practice test. I need to pick up another book for the CCNA material.

On to physics, I passed a test. I was really happy that I passed it. I just need to study for the final exam now.

The semester is almost over next week is the last week and I will have more time to study for things. It will be nice to be able to finially get to the classes that I need to graduate.

Alright so I'll start with the Cisco stuff, while watching war of the worlds.
I finially understand some more routing and I did a lab in my room but I had some type of trouble so maybe it'll work later on. There is still way more stuff that I need to study for. I guess it looks like I won't be able to take the CCENT at the end of the semester like I wanted to. I guess It'll be at the end of summer, when I'll get the CCNA or atleast atempt it. I'm still ready to take this test but I know that I don't know the material.

Soooo I'm watching war of the worlds or how ever the title is... It's alright.....

I'm almost done with this semester. I took one exam already and failed it but I still passed the class.
I'm going to attempt to finish one class this weekend. I had alot of help going over the material.
I can't wait to get done with this degree. 

So I found out the girl I met isn't interested in dating now. Maybe it's because she wants to finish school first.

Alright so I was trying to a vlan lab yesterday and today and I can't completely do it. Packet tracer doesn't support all the commands which really sucks. Then the switches that I have use the older IOS versions. I'm like noooooo I need to learn this. I guess I'm stuck with reading and thats it. Unless I get some other switches which are going to cost me over a hundred dollars per device and I need three switches. It would also be nice to get another 3640 router, similar to the one that I already have. I just don't like buying things off of ebay though. It would be nice to find a place that sells the equipment. I might just end up going to cisco kits but to ship the equipment is expensive. I'll have to save my money just to do that.

Anyways. I finially got something to eat and I'm hungary again. I didn't have for twenty-four hours.
I did take my physics test but I own't find out the score until next week monday because I won't
have class that day. It really sucks because I want to know what the my score is. I spent over
two and a half hours on that test. I'm sure I failed it like every other physics test.

So I finally got router rip to work for me it. I got it mixed up with ip routing because I thought it was the network number on the next router instead of the same router.. silly me? Now I just have to practice more and more and read more and more.

I have a physics test today and I think I'll do okay on it. I hope I do.

Well I finially got ip routing to work. I had to get some help from someone off the cisco learning site. I added alot of stuff that I didn't really need such as adding the dhcp to my seperate fasteithernet interfaces. I also got it to work using static ip addresses with the same network on the seperate interfaces. There was a section that I thought I didn't need because I was using dhcp, well I guess that was a big mistake because I did need to use that certain section. I thought dhcp would take care of it all. Maybe I need to go back and study the Network+ material again since isn't been a while and I'm loosing the information. Well anyways, I would go through the troubleshooting section in my ICND1 book and I would see the missing section in the book and I just looked over it. Comes to findout that I needed the gateway configured on the interfaces that were using dhcp and I just needed to put the interface numbers in the gateway section for the computers when I used a static ip address. I always thought that I would need to fill in that section but the book didn't explain that I needed the gateway address or I must have missed it.

I'm starting to feel that I'm ready to take the ICND1 test but I bet that I'm not even ready. I'm starting to get to know the material, especially configuring the routers and switches. I just don't know how to configure SDM. I don't really want to download it and play around with it because my equipment is old. I guess I can use the 3640 though? I'm not really interested in it but I have to know it so I guess I'll just read the mess out of the material.

Subnetting... I forgot how to subnet. That really sucks because I had it pretty good. I guess I need to watch the videos again. I really don't want to but I guess I'm going to have to.

Waiting for Project+.... I found out that because that Comptia had a hard time trying to find people to fill the positions to take the Project+ beta, the score's will be delayed. That really sucks because that means I will spend more time waiting. Where if I could just get the results back now, I would know if I failed or passed the test but I think I passed the test but everytime that I think I passed the test, I fail. Atleast I'll know what to expect on the test. I just don't want to reread the book again. That would really suck because the material is soo boring.

On to gaming!!! Yay for Modern Warfare 2 I did beat the game the same day I brought it and the game is awsome! I was getting my butt kicked in multiplayer at first but now I'm doing alright. Not as good as I had hoped but I'm making progess and I'm learning. I'm actually playing a few times a week now, which is good because I need to take time out of the schedual to have some fun.

Alright well I got my car fixed today. The boot on the axel for the passenger side was torn. I didn't know how torn it was until I saw the part and literially, the boot was split in half! I went to pepboys to get the work done but apparently, they got the wrong part three times. Forget that mess. My dad and I went to napa, went across town to another napa that had the part and I brought it. Went to a napa auto center and got it installed. Took the old part back and got the core charge back :D I didn't loose my whole paycheck. Now I just have to deposit my money. Napa gave me a list of things that I needed to get worked on. I'm looking at spending alot of money with repairing my car. I don't mind though but I need the money for school.

Certification wise, I'm studying like crazy as much as I can. I really want this certification so I can stay competitive (interruption... why is it that dave chappell is driving without his hands on the steering wheel?? i know mos def is doing his thing in the auto but still driving though chitown like that isn't cool, seriously that traffic can be crazy there) in my field. I know for a fact that there aren't alot of students at my school with certifications. I'm happy to know that. With the people that have certifications I'm trying to get and stay ahead of them. I'm starting to understand alot of this stuff more everytime I read the book but I still have more work on the lab.

My lab is crazy??!!! I can't do some commands that I need to do so I'm using packet tracer. I started to use packet tracer (updated) and I'm having problems with the program (shuts down) and I don't feel like dealing with it so I started to use an older version of it. It's not giving me any trouble. Anyways I'm still happy about working on this certification. I'm motivated, down right motivated... you check me out!

Classes! Hopefully I'l' have my AAAS for Network Administration by next semester. There are still a few things that I need to check out for a few classes. I really hope I can do this. There aren't enough hours in the day for me to be studying. I'll leave it at that.

soo i didn't

So I didn't take the practice test, that test was difficult. I was looking at some of the exhibits that they had on the test and I was sooo confused. Plus the test would have taken a few hours to complete and I need to use that time for other things. I think I'll just keep reading the ICND1 book until I understand the material. I'm starting to understand the material alot better now and if things keep going this way, I think that I'll be able to take the CCENT test at the end of the semester. I'm going to practice subnetting, even though I feel that I have a basic understanding, there's more to it. Also I found out that I need to buy less older Cisco gear, mostly switches because.... some of the commands that is in the ICND1 book can't be done on the switches that I have already. I could just read the material but I'd rather run the commands. I guess I can use packet tracer but packet tracer doesn't support all the commands that is in the ICND1 book. I really don't want to use simulation software either. I guess I'll have to save my money and buy the gear. I'm not sure yet. I'll just have to see what I can do with packet tracer.

On another note, I'm tired. I have more homework to do and more studies such as spanish and signlanguage.

ICND1

The yayness!! I've finished reading the ICND1 book! Now I'm not sure if I want to go on with the ICND2 book or not. It's taken me less than two weeks to read the ICND1 book. I think I'll be better off keep reading the ICND1 book so I can understand the basics. I really don't want to open the cd's that came with the book though. Anyways I figure and hope that I can take the CCENT at the end of the semester if I go at this pace to study the material. I figure I'll have my CCNA by the end of nine months.

I didn't do any of the labs or examples from the book because I was just reading it to read it. Next time I'll start to understand the material but I'm not sure I'm going to make a study plan for it yet. Maybe I'll just keep reading the book over and over until the end of the semester and see what the practice tests tell me. I'll take a practice test when I get home after class today and see where I am with the material.

I actually understood subnetting better as well. I feel that this book makes it really easy to understand subnetting and the other material in the book. There's alot of examples which don't interest me but I know the examples are there for me to better understand the material.

Today at work was way different :D I helped a few other people outside the office today :D
I looked up phone numbers for one person.
Walked around town posting posters for another lady.
Then I helped one lady cut out laminated pictures.
It was nice but I got worn out because I was walking
for atleast 3 hours around down town and to GVSU pew campus.

Well today I recieved my certification papers. After two months from taking the test which would have been August 18th 09. I guess it was due to the database being down but I'm happy that I recieved it. It's odd that I got it on my cousins babyshower and my friends birthday though....

CCNA Library 3rd Edition

I just got back from getting the library set now (as in got into the door like 5 min ago). It was really cheap because I got 30% off :) Anyways I can't wait to start reading it but I have homework.

I swear... other things

I swear reading the Project+ book is soooo boring. Maybe because it doesn't have me learning about what I'm really interested in. It's difficult for me to read because I'm really not interested in it but I know it's something that will help me later on so I guess I'll keep reading it so I can actually learn something.

I guess I'm going to keep studying for the Security+ exam but not as much.

On another note, I started studying for my CCNA so I can have that cert and get the credit for the classes. I really hope to have it by the end of the school year or before the next school year. I'm just not understanding how to subnet but I'll come back to it later on. Everything else is pretty simple because I know how to study for it and there are labs!!! I like labs, especially hands on labs for computers. I have to order the CCNA 3rd Library because of the study material and I want to make sure that I know what I'm doing. It's an old edition but alot of people said that they liked it in some forums. I might order that this Monday and have it come here whenever. The current book that I'm using isn't that bad now but it was when I first got it. Anyways I'm happy to have Packet Tracer because I don't have to turn on my hardware that I have in my room and run up the electric bill and set everything up for my lab. Although setting up a lab is fun, it just takes up too much time and I have to move around. Where I can just sit infront of my computer and make a lab on the computer that I'm using.

Took it

Well I took the Project+ Beta exam (PKO-003) and it wasn't that bad.
It was different from a technical exam but still it was a test where I had to know
my stuff  and I felt like I didn't know alot of the material so I just went with the best
answer that I thought would be best. I didn't finish reading the book either so I
am going to finish reading the book and I'm also going to study for the Security+
exam as well. I figure if I don't pass this exam, I'll retake it later on when I actually
know the material more.

Physics test....

Well I took my Physics test and it wasn't that bad. Thank goodness that it was open book/notes.
I think I did well on it. I guess I'll see next week.

one day

I have one day before I take the Project+ Beta exam and I'm not even finished with the book as I planned on.
I also have a test today in Physisics (yay for physisics) but I hope it isn't that bad. I might be able to get out
of class early and come home to finish studying for the exam. Maybe I'll be able to read four chapters today
when I get home and do the rest of the homework that I need to get done today too. I highly doubt that I'll
finish the four chapters.

Certifications!!!!

Well I'm waiting for my Project+ book to get here tomorrow. I'll be at work and then from there I'll be in my Physics class. Yay for Physics!!! Anyways, I hope I get my book tomorrow because I have less than two weeks to study for the Project+ Beta test (new trial test without updated material to study from). I was actually going to take a break from certifications because I didn't have the money to pay for the Comptia certifications. Plus their certification database isn't working and it's been weeks now. I was really tempted to goto the Cisco certifications but I started on the Microsoft certifications instead and I was like, forget Microsoft.... for now.
