Got a 19inch vizio flat screen tv which i'm using for my monitor for my computer. Now I can save power.

Got a gshock watch that came with the wrong instructions so I looked up the instructions online and now I have my watch set up. But I haven't worn a watch in about three years.

Got some hygeine things and money.

Well it was my sisters birthday a few days ago. She's 22 now.



I've made cisco material second priority because I want to study Russian more. Studying Russian is getting better and better. I'm getting a lot of reinforcement from livemocha. Which means that I've gotten a lot of the course done already. I had to go back to studying the alphabet in Hebrew because I don't practice it a lot.

whats been going on

A new season started in SC2 league and I didn't know this. I guess it started on monday. Well I got stuck on bronze league and I'm in the top eight right now. Currently third place but I still want to get into gold league. I did get two award for being in gold league top 50 1v1 and platinum league top 100 team. I am having fun kicking butt when I can though. I remember when I was in platinum league for 1v1, I always got beaten. Until I got kicked out into gold league and I started to go up and down between top 100 and top 50. I think that tonight I will play a ton to try to get back into silver.. atleast that.


I have a possible interview for next week. I just have to call and confirm.


I met this really awesome girl and yea.

Russian has been okay. I need to start studying Hebrew and Spanish more though.

Cisco has been going okay. It's difficult to study CCNA: Security because of a lot of complicated things that I need to learn. I'm still going over regular CCNA material though so I don't loose any of what I know.

I think that's pretty much it for now....

Oh yea, Christopher started to walk a few days ago so that's pretty awesome!

russian grammar/mechanics

Is so confusing!!!!! Learning the vocabulary isn't going to be enough because there will be confusing when I communicate.

Alright so I think that I can get to 600 words in Russian by the end of April next year. I have 80 words to learn before September. Then I'll work on 35 words per month up to the end of April. That will give me at least 280 words and I already have 228 plus the words that I didn't even count on the list which would be another 20 words. So it leaves about another 70 something words. I'm sure I'll get to it.

Then I think I'll do 15 words a month in Hebrew. Yea that'll be tough.

Alright so I finished reading the CCNA:Security book for the first time and it was sooo long. So much security information that I need to know. There is not a lot of configuration through the CLI but I'm glad that it covers the configuration for CLI and SDM because I would be bored clicking around in SDM. I figure I'll go through and do the commands so I can start knowing how things work and I'll read the security stuff to. There is some overlap with the Security+ material, which is good because not everything is new to me.

Ccna security..

This stuff is kinda cool to know. Only if I could practice a lot of the material.

reevaluation

Alright so I don't think I will be doing CCNA: Voice and CCDA until next year. It's just way to much that I will be trying to do before the end of next year. Also I think that I will push back CCNA and CCNA: Security until the second semester along with the Project+. The technician license will be in there too. Studying Russian and Hebrew and focusing on these two languages makes it difficult to successfully learn what I want to learn in time. So I can't rush though the material.

Since school will take up a lot of time. I think this is the best thing until I can start getting what I need to get done so I can move to other things. Have CCDA won't help me starting CCNA: Voice won't either because there's not a lot of demand for it. Along with CCNA: Security. I might just drop CCDA and CCNA: Voice until there's more demand for it.

I just got back from getting the ccna security book today.  I might read the whole book this weekend.
Forget exercising... I need to give the muscles a break and my hip a rest.

I swear I'm about to just laugh at these people for pronouncing these hebrew words! There are multiple people (4?) working on these lessons. So instead of having one man and one women do it. You can tell that there are way more people than that LOL. Then the recording quality sucks soo bad on it!! LOL This is what I get for enrolling into a community course. Please livemocha, hire some kick butt Israeli's so they can get everything on track. You need them and we need them more. 

I think I'll go to mango languages and use them too :)

fun problem

Alright so I was trying to start a lab in GNS3 with my 2600 image well because the program told me that the two checksums didn't work out, I needed to see if I had a bad image since I had to use tftp to transfer the image off the router to my laptop.

I tried multiple times to copy the image from my laptop to my flash drive but my flashdrive would get messed up to where I would have to reformat the drive everytime. After I got tired of this, I tried to connect the wireless on my laptop. Well that didn't work out so well for some reason.

I ended up bring my laptop up to my room, connecting it to my second port on my desktop and assigning two static ip addresses between the laptop and the second network interface on my desktop.

After trying to telnet/ssh into the laptop multiple times because the laptop would not keep the static ip address, I tried to ftp/tftp to and from the laptop. That didn't work out either.

I thought of apache. I saw that I had the test webpage on my laptop through typing in the static ip address in the web browser. I edited the page to make a url so I can download the image from the laptop. I had the wrong directory and then the laptop lost the ip address. So I reassigned the same ip address again, copied the image to the folder where the html file was, and then edited the webpage.

I clicked on the link on my desktop and downloaded the image. Then I compared the md5 hash from the image that I downloaded from my laptop with the image that I already had on the desktop and they matched.

When all of this was done... I felt pretty awesome.

Now off to see why I can't get the image to work in GNS3.......later on.

Hebrew:
Alright so my progress is getting better. The alphbet is getting easier for me. But I'm still getting used to writing right to left. Once I get used to some stuff I think things will get better.

Russian:
I just added another 40+ words to the vocabulary list. Yea, its gonna take like another month for me to learn the words. I still have to type the words up!!! Gosh that will take like twice as long then writing them out on paper.

Spanish:
Is fun.. kinda. I'm starting to remember stuff from when I took the class but Spanish isn't what I really need to focus on right now. I don't think I'll have any vocabulary lists for Spanish soon.


It would be nice to have a study partner here.

So I figured I would write in this thing but I don't have anything exciting.....

Eating meat... its kinda good since I cooked it and I don't know how to cook well!!!! All while going over OSPF and EIGRP labs and listening to Dubstep, which I'm about to turn off because it's been on for over 10 hours on my computer and I'm sure my computer could use the break from thinking so hard. I'm sure di.fm could use their bandwidth back LOL.

I really should be studying Russian right now. Hebrew is still kicking my butt. I really need a tutor for it. It's hard finding help in these two languages so I guess I'm back to doing it alone like I usually do things. I gotta go over Spanish too.

Oh yea I got props on how many pullups I can do, which is odd but its cool at the same time. Ran four miles today which was really easy. I guess its because I drank a whole lot of water. Oh and there was this attractive young lady that was having the weight training class today. Yea... didn't talk to her.

I sucked soo bad this semester and my gpa went down to a 2.776

If I had the money, I would take summer classes to get my gpa back up.


So this means that I won't be turning in my transcripts to davenport because I will loose that scholarship. I'll just turn it in during the winter because that way, I won't loose it because I already have it. Then davenport will go off the grades that I have there, which I think will be pretty good. I hope to get a 3.0 my first year there. Then for sure I'll have a scholarship there.

money for school

Since the tuition for school is almost $12,000 a year and I only got $13,000 for this year, I guess I will be working my butt off just to make sure I can pay for this year. It's ridiculous because I have to get more money from somewhere else.

So I'm supposed to be going to a night club on sat night. Well this night club plays rap/hiphop. Yea I don't know how to deal with that. Oh and get I get to be the designated driver, fun stuff.

Yesterday was a good day because it was the last day of school. After I walked out of the building I totally thought about freedom.

two double major or not to double major.....

Alright so I already have the AAS Network Administration from GRCC. Why would I get a BS degree in Network Administration when I can just stay with the BS in Network Security and then most possibly start graduate school the next term. I guess it'll just be extra money and more time for me to be in school. I guess it's just an upgrade from AAS to BS though but I can just get certifications for most of the classes in Network Administration and be done with a lot of the requirements for that degree. What it comes down to is that I can retake the classes to stay current on the information if I do change career fields for a little while. I could always change the second major to something else but it would be way more classes. It's only about eight difference between the two BS degree's. So I guess it would be worth it but I'm not sure yet.

CCDA (863) extended....

So they extended the date where this CCDA exam version which means I can actually have a better chance at studying for this exam. Since it doesn't cost that much, I might go for it after the CCNA because I won't get the certificate if I don't have the CCNA first.

Yesterday, I got on the scale and it told me 141.3lbs. This morning, I went down stairs to find a scale and it worked so I got on it to find out that I weigh 130lbs with what I slept in. Then I got in my undies and it went down to 128!!!! :O I'm skinny!!! lol

I got the Modern Hebrew stuff to study from and it's going okay, starting off. It would have been way helpful if the book had a larger print for the Hebrew letters Russian is going bad because I'm forgetting how to spelling words so I guess I have to start writing in Russian now.So I have to write what I did this week in Russian and then tell this lady what I did this week.

Cisco:

I'm still studying for the ICND2. This test really sucks and I want to move on to
better things.

I figure I want to get into CCDA, CCNA: Security, CCNA: Voice before CCNP. I just have to wait for the CCDA and CCNA: Voice books to come out, which will be later on this summer. So this means I will be getting done with the CCNA. The plan is CCNA: Security while studying CCNP material. Then I can order the CCDA and CCNA: Voice. But I need to study SWITCH to help me study for the CCDA. CCNA: Voice is not all that important right now. I still have to budget the equipment out for CCNA: Voice and CCNP, which will be expensive.

Anyways, ICND2 is at the end of this month or the beginning of the next. I hope I can pass it this time.

Yea, CompTIA, I don't want to go get certs from them anymore. I still have to get the Project+ and I want the Linux+, which will give me the LPI and some Novel linux cert.

hebrew!!!!!!!!!

So my hebrew book came in today. I ordered the book monday (yesterday) morning and it came today. I had standard shipping on the book too. So I'm just waiting for two more books. One should be here tomorrow and the other by the end of the month.

I was soo happy that I got my exercise baseline to under 55 minutes today!!! Usually it takes me a hour and a half to finish everything.

100 gold

Made it to the 100 Gold league for 1v1 in SC2!!!! Won 4 of 5 in the placement league. Hopefully I can keep it up.

"Spring" break

Alright so the school I go to is on "Spring" break which started today for school but it started for me on Sunday. Which means that I get to focus on the Project + and the CCNA (ICND2) certifications. The CCDA and Ham Radio stuff is not a priority since I will have closer to the end of the school year to study these certifications.

Russian!!!! I'm loosing my mind over it but I'm going to study the mess out of that too. All of this should keep me really busy until the end of this week. I should order the Hebrew stuff too, while I'm at it but that will be later on.

How is it Spring break and it's still cold enough here to have ice at the front step of our place.

CCDA

The reading is going really good. I'm learning a little about neat stuff like HRSP, TDM, Dark Fibre, and MPLS. I really got lost with wireless since I don't deal with it and I'm really not interested in it. Maybe I'll be able to read a ton of chapters this weekend.

CCDA

For a while, I've been thinking about taking the current older CCDA (Cisco Certified Design Associate) exam. Since the version 2.0 exam will be gone by the end of April, I have to hurry and study this stuff as much as possible. I honestly do think I could have a chance with this if I do everything right. Having the CCDA will be really helpful but I won't get the award until I have the CCNA which means I will have the ICND2, which I'm also studying hard as I can for. I'll be taking the ICND2 soon. Anyways, it'll just be one more thing to study and if I fail the exam, and I can't retake it, I can just go ahead and go over to the version 2.1 exam and wait for the book to come out.

I've decided to study for the Technician class for Ham Radio. I think it's cool to get the knowledge on radios and I think it'll be very helpful and useful to know this stuff. Then maybe later on I can work more with radios as a hobby.

Security+ certificate

So I got the certificate between Friday and Saturday. It's smaller but I like the full size certificates. I guess CompTIA is trying to cut down on their paper use and cost. It came with a better looking wallet card though. At first I thought the envelope was a letter telling me that I cheated on the exam. Atleast I didn't have to fight the mailbox to get my certificate out.
