Alright I think I figured out why people stay in the friend zone. The people that want to be friends just because they don't want to loose the other person, just don't make sense. Friends loose friends for whatever reason. Thats just a reason why not to date someone. People need to start trying to figure out why they would date the other person and why not. So for example
Jane and Bobby are friends. Jane is attracted to Bobby but he isn't attracted to Jane. *yes i'm switching it up* So although Jane is throwing the hints to Bobby, he just isn't getting it. One day they're alone and Jane gets the courage to ask Bobby if he wants to be with her. Well he declines and Jane just takes it. Then Bobby explains that he doesn't want to loose her as a friend but tells her all these good things about her. Jane just takes it.
So now Jane is down about it because she was hoping that he would say yes. They've been friends for years and got along pretty well.
Now what Bobby should have done is tell her that he'll think about it. Gone home and made a list of why and why not. There should be atleast one good reason why he should turn her down. Then talk to her about it.
They're already friends. If they can't go more than that, why are they friends? They should be able to be more than friends unless there's a really big problem.
So if Bobby had a major problem with Jane, he wouldn't be friends with her, right?

Security+
Passed the Security+ with 830/900 750 to pass! I used Darril Gibson's book and studied for 10 days. I wanted to run out the testing room to hug the testing administrators. The book is great to learn from and it would be nice if he wrote more similar books for other certifications.

about time
I finally got Darril Gibsons Security+ book and it is awsome, so far. It explains important facts in detail and gives examples so I can actually understand the material. Well since the book got here yesterday, I'll be studying hard because the test is less than ten days. I knew I should have ordered the book weeks ago. I just wasn't sure if I should have and plus I wasn't really motivated to study again. Anyways this book is a will be a great reference. I'm going over the weak area's, since I scored poorly on assesments & audits, cryptography, and organizational security.

ICND2 retake
Alright... I plan on retaking the test on 18JAN2011. By that time I honestly think that I'll be able to pass the test. It'll be more than two months (fail 30OCT2010 744/825-1000 ) and it'll be worth the time to better understand the material. I really want to take it now though because I feel like I know the material better. Then I can buy upgraded gear!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

almost over
School is almost over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just one more week and I'll be done with everything for this semester. I can't wait to get to next semester.
I gotta hurry up and retake this Security+ certification. I'm waiting on this book that people at Techexam are going crazy about, saying it's a good book to study from. I hope I can actually pass the test from just this book.

This saturday
I'll be taking the Secuirty+ this Saturday. It's a few weeks pass the date that I wanted to take it but oh well. I've been studying on and off for this test for over a year. I just need to review some information and hope that I pass. This is the same situation for the Project+ and I need to get that out the way really quick.

Implement an IP addressing scheme and IP Services to meet network requirements in a medium-size Enterprise branch office network : 88%
Configure and troubleshoot basic operation and routing on Cisco devices : 50%
Implement, verify and troubleshoot NAT and ACLs in a medium-size Enterprise branch office network : 67%
Implement and verify WAN links : 71%
I think about another month of study will help me pass.

closer
I'm getting closer to the dates. School is getting in the way of everything. It would be nice not to be in school. So I can just have the extra time to do what I need to do. I really hope I can loose some sleep so I can study what I need to study and go through what I need to go through.
I still need to go through troubleshooting and configuration with ICND2. I don't know what to expect on the test even though I have the syllabus with all the stuff I can be tested on. I think I'll do alright but I'll see what the test tells me. I know I know a lot of the information but because I don't have the up to date gear, its tough to remember configurations. Switch security, ACL, and Routing Authentication configurations are causing the trouble just because I don't have the updated IOS, Routers, and Switches. After the test I will be getting the updated gear. All I can do is practice what I can practice and memorize what I can memorize then hope not to get the most difficult questions and pray about it. I did pretty good on the ICND1 the first time even though I failed it and didn't have all the up to date gear. Mostly because of simple mistakes. This time I'll try not to make mistakes but because its a timed test and the pressure is on, it'll be difficult.

15 days
15 days until the ICND2 exam. I'm going over everything that I think I need to go over for this exam. IPv6 is still a pain but I'm understanding it more. NAT configurations is confusing at times. Frame Relay troubleshooting isn't fun. Other than that, I think I'm good. Unless I have trouble with ACL.

weeks
My progress for the ICND2 exam is going well. I'm just reviewing and doing labs and I think I won't have that many problems like I did for the ICND1 exam. Just because I think I know how the exam will go. I also know that I have to go slower on things and take my time just to make sure I do things the correct way. I think I know a lot of the material that I need to know and I feel that I can do what I need to do before I take the ICND2 exam. I think I'm going to focus more on the stuff that I don't know well. I can't wait to get this exam done with and get into IINS/CCNA: Security.
I feel the same way with the Security+ exam. I think that I'm almost ready to take the exam. I just hope I really pass this exam, even though this exam isn't as important as the ICND2 exam. I just want to get these two exams done so I can apply to jobs and actually have a chance to get a job.

okay...
So I decided to schedule the ICND 2 exam on 30oct10 and the Security+ on 6nov10. I didn't officially schedule to take the exams yet. I pushed back the dates so I know I can have more time to study. Now I just have to keep reading the material and keep doing labs for the ICND2. I really hope I can pass on the first time. I really want the CCNA. The Security+ is something that I want but not as much. I think if I took the test now that I have a chance to pass. I have retake dates unofficially scheduled. I don't plan on failing but it's possible.
After these certifications, I'm getting the Project+ and CCNA:Security done. I have to buy gear for the CCNA:Security. I hope I can get both of them done before next school year. I've already put unofficial dates on the calendar to get them done. The Security+ exam will help with the CCNA:Security.

stuck at friends
So over the years I've been denied being more than friends with a few of my friends. I feel like I'm being denied a promotion. I don't understand how I could be friends with someone over the years and some guy comes along who they've either barely talked to, just met, met through a friend, or whatever and then start dating. Where I've known the girl for years and put aside. It's crazy how the guy then just learns all these things about my friend that I didn't even know. The worse part is when they tell me that they want to stay friends or don't want to 'loose you' as a friend.I don't understand this. Sometimes its hard working being friends but it's worth it all the time. It would be worth it more if the relationship went past the 'friend stage'. I'm starting to think that it's not possible to go past just being friends. I'm not the type of person to go out and find some random girl and date them without knowing them. I need to spend some time knowing them so this is why people become friends first. Maybe it's a waste of time trying to go past friends.

rough schedual
I have an estimated date of when I want to take the ICND2, Security+ and Project+ exams. I used Google Calendar to figure out when I would want to take the exams. I hope to have all three exams finished before the end of the Fall semester, this is including retaking the exams that I might fail.
I went to Davenport today to figure out what's up with classes. After being confused, it helps to know that I should be attending Davenport University full time, Winter of '11. I'll have to go back to figure out what classes I will be taking later on since I will be getting the certifications.
This will also mean that I might not be working next school term.
I really want to buy some DU merchandise :)

nothing....
Nothings really been going on but studying. I just got done reading the Project+ book and I guess I'm off to reading it again. I'm also studying the Security+ material so I can take both of these exams at the same time. I'm taking a break with cisco for a week or two. I'll still be doing labs but the ICND2 material needs a break and needs to be set back so I can know the information in the Project+ and Security+ books for the exams.

work.....
Still no job. The reason why I decided to make a post bout work is because I read a blog about not having to find work. Anyways, seriously, it's difficult to find work. I've found two full time jobs and one of them is in a different state. I really want to apply to both but I want to finish school first.
Alot of these jobs have requirements that can be learned on the job. I guess people are just lazy to train new people. These entry level jobs require years of experience. If it's entry level, it shouldn't require alot of years of experience. Then I don't have the certifications that some companies want. Just to get those certifications will take years.I figure I'll stay with what I want to get.
I can only find good jobs in different states. It sucks that our state can't be the state for computers... We have to be medical. Theres nothing wrong with that.

ICND 2 book
I finally finished the ICND2 book. It was really interesting such as VPN and IPv6 but way too much information, especially for vlan's, stp, IPv6, frame-relay, and routing protocols *cough* eigrp/opsf *cough*. When I start reading the material more and start doing labs, I'll understand everything better. Its been a long time since I've read many chapters in one day like I did for the ICND2 book. Since I have more free time, I'll be able to study more and understand the material. I'm going back to ICND1 material so I can retake this test and pass it.
I guess I could finish the Project+ book too. I have a couple chapters before the book is finished. Project management is really boring. I'm surprised that I have to do math for it.
I need to get the gear so I can study the CCNA material better. I just need $600 to make sure I can get the gear for the lab.

I am finally done with school. I just finished my final exam for psychology and I passed the exam! Now I just have to wait for my grades to be updated for one class and then the grades be turned in to the registars office.

I failed the CCENT exam with 803/804 to pass. I'll retake it again in three weeks so I can study more on what I need to study more.

Tomorrow
I finally scheduled the CCENT for tomorrow at 1300.
I will be studying hard all night and doing labs. I'll also get some good sleep before tomorrow along with some good food and an energy drink.
I don't expect to pass this test but I'll do my best.

In about two weeks
So I think in about two weeks that I'll take the ICND 1 exam. I just have to study more on ATM/Frame Relay, Wireless, and something else. I forgot right now. I'll be studying more and I've gotten better at subnetting. I'll also be doing more labs on packet tracer.
I also have four more weeks left of school. The yayness, now I just have to work hard and try to get my grades up alittle.

ICND 2
Wow I'm really confused with this material already. I guess it will have to take time. Setting up VLANs is okay but the trunking and security material is something else. I can't wait to do labs for this.I really hope that his book doesn't take me another five months to study from. I really wish I could study and know the material in a month or two.
On another note, I talked to Sabreena :D Gosh I totally miss her. I also talked to another girl and I'm kinda surprised that she talked to me.

One post on techexams, tells of one having the results of the Project+ beta exam. I checked my results and as others, it says that it's still taken. I want my results and I want them now. I think I failed but it would be nice to know the results anyways. I'm tired of waiting for over seven months.

sometime next month
Alright so I feel that I'm getting ready (changes song) to take my CCENT exam next month.
I'm studying harder than I usually do and I feel that I'm starting to understand the material way
better. I think by sometime next month, I'll understand enough of the material to pass the test
even though I don't plan on passing the test. I know what sections that I need to focus on and
what materials I should buy so pretty soon I'll buy the extra materials that I need in order to
help me understand the material better. The sections that I'm studying more are starting to
make more sense even though I'm more interested in the Routing portion instead of Switching.
Next month also means a break from school so I can study more and have some fun :)
It'll also be closer to the end of the semester and I'll be close to my associates.
Then I'll also see whats up with the project+ beta exam results. I really hope I passed.
That stuff is boring to study and I'll have to study it again just so I can put it on my resume.

over a month.....
It's been over a month....
The next semester has started and things are alright. I just want to be done with this
semester so I can get my degree. It'll be done sooner than I know it.
I'm still studying for CCENT/CCNA and it sucks but I feel that I'm close to being
ready to take my CCENT exam. I'm trying to go over things that I think might
interfere with the test when I take it. I'm still doing labs and studying when I
get the chance.
I'm still waiting for the Protect+ beta result to come out. I have to wait until the
end of this month to find out if I passed the exam. I really hope that I passed the
exam because I don't want to retake the test and I don't like the material.
